Sustainability Research Project
Sustainability has the potential to answer the horizon. The horizon being a line that recedes as you approach it. Sustainability is an answer to meeting the needs of the present, without compromising the future and the needs that inevitably will then arise. An horizon will always be an unattainable question, but in sustainability we have an answer.
ITO Focus International's Sustainability Research Project is our endeavour to close the gap between what is known and the unknown, to make Sustainability more than just the latest buzzword. The uncertainty exists due to the lack of credible data on Sustainable Development efforts in various industries. The Sustainability Research Project is being launched parallel, as part of our Sustainability Offering, with the process of establishing a Sustainability Database for South Africa.
The objective of the Sustainability Research Project is to among others create awareness of sustainability indicators. Using these indicators we will identify sustainability gaps. Have comparisons between companies in the similar and different industries. Including all the data collected on a national Sustainability Database, to have a benchmark alongside the Sustainability indicators for the various sectors and different industries.
The research process is as follows:
- Confirmation of client commitment.
- Structuring the survey, e.g: level, people and involvement.
- Schedule and conduct the survey.
- Capture and analyse data.
- Prepare report.
- Presentation to client.
