Liza Gresse and Jan Nel from ITO FOCUS recently facilitated a team building event for Dolphin Coast Retailers in KZN. Forty department heads from 4 different Spar's (Ballito Lifestyle, Ballito, Stanger and Wartburg) convened at Zinkwazi Lagoon Lodge in March for a team build with a difference. Not knowing what to expect, they were in for a most memorable time…
Beforehand, the client's expectations were confirmed and the facilitators compiled a programme focusing on the embracement of the company's vision; leadership; increased motivation and exceptional teamwork. Fun-filled activities and exercises were built into the programme, each with a specific outcome in mind. These activities and exercises ensured that active and participative learning took place throughout the day. Proper reflection and debriefing afterwards enabled all the participants to compile their own personal action plans ready for implementation back in the workplace.
